An ongoing project is raising money for THE SPARKy Latina Scholarship Fund which sends local Latinas to college. We also mentor and advise the college and High School Latinas; through The SPARKy Latina Club. Our goal is to help all college bound Latinas in the San Miguel region to succeed.

SPARKy Productions is committed to keeping alive the diverse cultural life of rural communities through theatre, film and music and educate all segments of the community. An ongoing project is to send local young Latina girls to college.
SPARKy started by making an educational film called SOFT SMOKE,AIDS IN THE RURAL WEST which was shown in Health Departments all over the country. After making award winning children's films and documentaries, we produced THE TELLURIDE PLAYWRIGHTS FESTIVAL for 10 years. Our last festival year in 2016 was a full production of THE HISPANIC WOMEN'S PROJECT; from which we continue to raise money for THE SPARKy Latina Scholarship Fund. This fund helps send young Latinas each year to college. It is a thank you to the brave, women who told us their stories of hardships; leaving their homeland to find a better life for their families.
Our goal is to provide stimulating, original educational projects through the mirror of theater and film to educate and entertain our community and to raise current, social awareness.
