SAC provides Xcel Energy utility assistance through EOC; reduced-fare RTD passes; emergency supplies: incontinence products, masks, cleaning supplies, toiletries; durable medical equipment loans for up to 3 months; Medicare consultations, information and more to older adults. We also provide opportunities for seasonal food and gift boxes.

Mission

'The mission of the Senior Assistance Center is to promote the self-sufficiency of all senior citizens in Denver, to ensure that no senior citizen goes without the necessities of life and to help low-income seniors remain stable and independent.'

Background Statement

Senior Assistance Center was founded in 1981 with one volunteer as a nonprofit tax-exempt corporation to help meet the needs of senior citizens.

Today, Senior Assistance Center promotes the self-sufficiency of older adults in Denver by providing necessity-of-life services with the ultimate goal of helping clients find stable, sustainable living situations.
