Despite our rural designation, Routt County is fortunate to be home to three school districts, four municipalities, and more than 50 youth-serving agencies. We have many dedicated professionals working toward the health of our young residents; RCYSC exists to align efforts, minimize service duplication, maximize community assets, and leverage shared resources. We do this in four primary ways:
- Coalition meetings to provide space for agency updates, shared training opportunities and community presentations geared toward youth and family-serving practitioners.
- Coalition Socials to create a space to network, share information, and collaborate. This initiative was started in 2022 at the request of coalition members who wanted an informal space to connect with others in this field. Even the rotating location of our socials is intended to help partners increase their visibility.
- The bi-annual update and printing of a Family Services Directory booklet that serves as a comprehensive guide to youth and family services, programs and resources within Routt County. This is an important resource for childcare facilities, healthcare providers, schools, camps, and social service agencies throughout the region.
- The annual implementation of the Parent Connection Summit event, a 1-day conference geared toward parent education, engagement and support.
