Rocky Mountain Public Media

A nonprofit organization

Rocky Mountain Public Media is the parent company of Rocky Mountain PBS, KUVO JAZZ, and THE DROP 104.7. Earlier this year we lost critical federal funds - your support through CO Gives Day helps us fill this gap in funding so that we can keep the programs you love running and bring you the local stories that bolster our community. We will be here for years to come - join the thousands of supporters helping us thrive!

Rocky Mountain PBS

Rocky Mountain PBS began in Denver in 1956 as Colorado's first public television station. It is now Colorado's only statewide television network with stations in Denver (KRMA), Pueblo/Colorado Springs (KTSC), Steamboat Springs (KRMZ), Grand Junction (KRMJ) and Durango (KRMU). We reach thousands of Coloradans every year through traditional broadcast and streaming online and on our newly launched app RMPBS+. Your donation to Rocky Mountain PBS fuels local journalism, national programs, local documentaries, and family events.

KUVO JAZZ

KUVO JAZZ public radio has served the community since 1985 with jazz, blues, news, and a weekend lineup of culturally rich, local programming. The station is on 89.3FM Denver, 89.7FM Breckenridge, and 88.5FM Vail, in the app, and online. We are celebrating 40 years of Community, Culture and Music this year! Give to KUVO JAZZ and support the best in jazz programming on-air, online and in-person.

THE DROP 104.7

THE DROP 104.7, Denver's Urban Alternative, is a space for music discovery, healing, and community that inspires the next generation of creatives and innovators. Through our work in the community and spotlighting independent and up-and-coming artists, we hope to inject new life into Denver’s R&B and hip-hop culture, creating a unique sound that is locally rooted with global reach. Your support powers local hosts and programs on-air, online and in-person.

Mission

Rocky Mountain Public Media exists to strengthen the civic fabric of Colorado.

Background Statement

Rocky Mountain Public Media is the parent organization of Rocky Mountain PBS, KUVO JAZZ, and THE DROP 104.7. We provide critical educational and cultural resources for over a million Coloradans through a reliable stream of programming, news, and music to connect our communities.

Rocky Mountain Public Media is Colorado’s largest membership organization, with supporters in every county, making it a vital civic and cultural asset for generations of Coloradans. In a time of division, media mistrust, and rapid change, RMPM plays a crucial role as a trusted, inclusive, and community-driven media hub. We bring people together to share ideas, learn from one another, and feel connected to something bigger than ourselves.
