RMF Athlete performing a "back X" flip.Rocky Mountain Freestyle (RMF), a division of the US Ski and Snowboard Rocky Mountain Division, leads competitive freestyle mogul skiing in Colorado and neighboring regions. Dedicated to youth athletic development and progression, RMF has played a key role in shaping numerous freestyle mogul World Cup and Olympic athletes. Beyond competition, Rocky Mountain Freestyle nurtures a love for outdoor activities and passion for community among young athletes, emphasizing a holistic approach to personal growth, skill development, sportsmanship, and a deep respect for nature.

RMF Vision and Mission: The RMF Vision is to be a freestyle skiing center of excellence, recognized for inspiring and developing emerging athletes to world-class competitors and advancing the sport of freestyle skiing in the Rocky Mountain region and beyond. In support of this, our mission is to develop and inspire all levels of freestyle moguls athletes by offering diverse opportunities to compete, enhance mental, emotional, and physical skills, foster sportsmanship, and actively engage in the community. To ensure success, we value excellence, integrity, safety, community, passion, growth, and collaboration.

RMF Competition Program: RMF is chartered to produce exceptional US Ski & Snowboard-sanctioned moguls and dual moguls freestyle events each season that are hosted at major resorts across the Rocky Mountains, and relies on grants and donations to be successful. The Development and Qualifier Series competitions cost $10,000 per event, and the Competitive Series costs $17,000 per event. RMF produces anywhere from 15 - 20 events per season with multiple competitions at each event, all of which rely on robust volunteer support and extensive coordination with mountain resorts to ensure a safe, accessible, and successful outcome for all. Thanks to the many supporters both in front of the sport and behind the scenes that make it possible to host, organize and hold these competitions, we see over 3,500 kids enter the start gates each season.

The competitions are based on age and skill, starting with the Development Series for entry-level athletes aged 12 and younger, progressing to the Qualifier Series with increased competition requirements, and eventually advancing to the Competitive Series, which offers full US Ski & Snowboard sanctioned competitions in Moguls and Dual Moguls. This program requires a US Ski & Snowboard Competitor membership and full Rocky Mountain Division membership. Competitors receive points on the US Ski & Snowboard national points list, providing opportunities to compete in World Cup and Olympic level events.

How Your Donations Make an Impact: We are fortunate to have a very robust, dedicated competition program located in the heart of ski country and we couldn’t do this without YOU, our RMF community and sponsors. By contributing through the Colorado Gives program, you directly help keep event and competition operational costs low and in turn, make this exciting sport more affordable for our athletes. Your donations also create new opportunities for our athletes to gain national and international exposure through programs such as live streaming of competitions, modernizing aging technologies to create pathways for remote judging and support, and building awareness of freestyle skiing to draw talent from untapped locations. Every dollar donated to Rocky Mountain Freestyle helps our Colorado youth discover the joys of the outdoors, the excitement of athletic progression, and the spirit of teamwork and competition.

THANK YOU! We appreciate your support and thank you in advance for considering RMF through the Colorado Gives program. Click on the "Competitions" tab to see the schedule of events for the 2024/2025 ski season, and we hope to see you on the slopes!
