RFSF supports and enhances quality educational programs for students in the Roaring Fork Schools; complements the efforts of other community/education-based organizations to fill voids across RFSD; and serves as a fiscal agent for Family Resource Center and Roaring Fork PreCollegiate as needed.

Testimonials

In the early stages of creating this nonprofit entity that would exclusively support local schools, former RFSF board president Anna Cole stated in a May 8, 2019 Glenwood Springs Post Independent article that, "Right now, the huge motivator for this is to create a 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor for the programs that are already trying to write grants, to allow them access to more resources." Since the foundation's inception, several important financial contributions have been passed through RFSF to Family Resource Center and Roaring Fork PreCollegiate to directly and positively impact the health, well-being and academic achievement of students across the district.

Giving Activity

Mission

The Roaring Fork Schools Foundation (RFSF) is a charitable nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and enhancing programs and services in the Roaring Fork School District (RFSD).

Background Statement

In 2019, the newly formed RFSF board identified a gap in the ability to equitably provide support and services across our district's communities, thus the RFSF was created in order to address district needs and serve as fundraising support for district programs such as Family Resource Center and Roaring Fork PreCollegiate.
