Roaring Fork Conservancy brings people together to protect our rivers and works hard to keep water in local streams, monitor water quality, and preserve riparian habitat. As one of Colorado's largest watershed organizations, Roaring Fork Conservancy serves residents and visitors in the Roaring Fork Valley and surrounding areas with school- and community-based Watershed Education programs and Watershed Science and Policy Projects, including regional watershed planning, water resource policy initiatives, stream management, and restoration.

Founded in 1996, Roaring Fork Conservancy has been inspiring people to explore, value, and protect the Roaring Fork Watershed for 30 years. We engage children and adults with classroom- and field-based education programs; address key river issues through scientific studies to inform agencies and decision-makers; protect and manage multiple conservation easements; lead community programs to enhance and protect valuable water resources; and maintain a robust and dedicated group of volunteers who bolster our efforts. We build consensus on complex water issues by bridging the gaps between hard science, local and regional land use and water policies, recreational interests, requirements of a rural agricultural community, and the varied interests of full- and part-time residents in the Roaring Fork Valley.
