Riverhouse Children's Center provides childcare and early education services for children from 6 weeks through 5 years old. It has been in operation since 2004 and has served over 600 families since its inception.
We are committed to providing a safe, clean, and organized environment accessible to all children in our community regardless of financial hardship. It has been shown that the quality of early childhood education directly influences health, economic, and social outcomes for individuals. It is our vision to positively impact our children, who are our future community leaders.
Mission
Building the foundation for a lifetime of success through quality early childhood education
Background Statement
In 2002, our founder, who was a dedicated early childhood professional, set out to create an early-learning community that focused on the holistic needs of the children and families that it served. The program had a strong emphasis on education and Kindergarten readiness, a healthy food program, and a vision to provide each family with a remarkable childcare experience that they would remember for years to come. Riverhouse became one of the most sought childcare facilities in the community. By 2004, it was clear that the Riverhouse program aspired to expand its vision to support high-quality early education and care to families in need, believing that all families deserve access regardless of their ability to pay. To accomplish this, Riverhouse was converted to a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization and quickly began serving local low-income families. Riverhouse continues to be a vital resource, supporting the children and families of our community. The organization has grown tremendously to support over 70 children, who are building a foundation for a lifetime of success, and 25 teachers, who are developing their careers, in 2022.
