Restored Lands Nonprofit

At Restored Lands, we bring action and awareness to a sustainable future. 

Founded in 2024 in Salida, Colorado, Restored Lands is advancing statewide pollinator conservation, land restoration, stewardship education, environmental awareness, and community engagement. We have a statewide pollinator program that takes a focus on conserving the near threatened monarch butterfly with large scale habitat implementation, education, and quality partnerships. Our projects are collaborative, engage science and local stewardship.

We work to create spaces on publicly accessible land with engaging elements like interpretive signs and seating so that everyone can learn from and enjoy our work. Some public facing projects in 2026 are at the Poncha Springs Welcome Center, and the Mesa Valley Wildlife Preserve in Colorado Springs. The Monarch Conservation Program also works in soil restoration, removal of invasive weeds impacting native landscapes and habitats, seed collection, and data collection.

We also run Awareness Campaigns, an internship program, do media work, attend community and industry events, and are working to create localized community resource spaces.
