Our work is rooted in history. Rose Community Foundation was founded in 1995 with the assets from the sale of Rose Medical Center, a hospital created by Denver’s Jewish community in 1949. With more than 30 years of service to Greater Denver communities, the Foundation operates entirely independent from the hospital, and proudly carries on the legacy of the hospital founders' tradition of philanthropy, nondiscrimination and a commitment to serving residents and enhancing the quality of life across the Greater Denver region.
Through strategic grantmaking, leadership and convening, policy and advocacy, donor engagement, impact investments, and stewardship of philanthropic resources, the Foundation advances Community Wellbeing, Education & Economic Opportunity, Health, and Jewish Life while also stewarding donor-advised funds for individuals, families and businesses and endowments for nonprofit organizations seeking to sustain their vital work into the future.
