Thanks to our incredible supporters, we reached our Colorado Gives Day goal last year! This year, we're hoping to raise $10,000 more. Help us meet our $40,000 goal so we can support even more families in 2026!
What We Do
Navigating life with an infant or child with a health condition can be overwhelming, and at Rocky Mountain Children's Health Foundation, we get it. We believe no family should have to stress about their essential needs during this difficult time. Every day, we provide the financial, nutritional, and emotional support these families need so they can focus on what really matters: being there for their child.
Support Comes in Many Forms

“Being in the hospital is hard, especially for a toddler. Lemon lit up her world. What you’re doing is so important. It makes a long hospital stay just a little better, because kids get to experience a little bit of normal.”
The little things were immensely impactful because then I could focus on making sure my daughter was ok.”
- Taysha, Evalette's Mom
Three-year-old Evalette was a joyful, energetic child who loved swimming, playing with her sister, and exploring the outdoors—until a burst appendix turned her world upside down. After a trip to the hospital, sepsis, 12 weeks in intensive care, and countless procedures, Evalette grew withdrawn and stopped talking, walking, and playing—her once bright spirit dimmed by fear and exhaustion.
Everything changed when she met Lemon, a trained facility dog supported by Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation’s PAWS for RMC program. Lemon offered comfort and companionship that medical care alone couldn’t, helping Evalette find the courage to walk again and bringing moments of joy back into her days. After 89 days in the hospital, multiple surgeries, and continued treatment, Evalette is rediscovering her playful self.
