Roice-Hurst Humane Society is a nonprofit animal shelter in western Colorado that provides individualized care and adoption services for dogs and cats. Last year, more than 1,000 lost or homeless pets received the care they needed at Roice-Hurst, and hundreds more were served through Roice-Hurst’s programs designed to help pet owners keep and care for their beloved pets. Programs include a pet pantry, low-cost vaccination clinics, spay/neuter assistance, pet behavior counseling, a crisis pet boarding program, and Homeward Hounds, which provides dignified shelter for people experiencing homelessness with their pets. Roice-Hurst Humane Society also operates a satellite facility in Delta, Colorado, allowing lost and found pets to return home safely. Roice-Hurst is a socially-conscious animal shelter that works diligently to match animals to their forever homes, however long that may take.
