Bromwell Elementary School PTA

A nonprofit organization

7 donors

All DPS schools receive a baseline, per-student allocation, with additional funds added for Title 1 Schools, English Language Learners, Mill Levies, and students who qualify for Free and Reduced Lunch. This funding model ensures that the students with the most needs receive the most resources. Per-student funds across DPS range from $6,500 (Bromwell received $7,213 last year) up to $12,000. We fundraise to provide additional support to create an enriching educational experience to all Bromwell students.

Mission

The Bromwell PTA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit membership and service organization that is comprised of Bromwell parents, caregivers and staff who are passionate about enriching the lives of all students at Bromwell Elementary School. We believe that great things happen when we work together and support each other! The role of the Bromwell PTA is to build community, promote volunteering, raise funds and support our teachers and staff.

Background Statement

Nestled in the heart of Cherry Creek North is our small neighborhood school. Our school has a rich history, starting with its original wooden frame building in 1867. Bromwell believes in excellence for ALL students. They create this excellence by meeting Academic and social-emotional needs. They provide a safe, loving, supportive, respectful, positive, welcoming, inclusive, and nurturing environment for ALL of their students. Families travel from all over Denver to attend Bromwell because of its focus on small-group instruction and blended learning.

Bromwell PTA has proudly provided a platform for all members of the Bromwell community to come together in support of our students. The most visible accomplishment is the annual donation to the Bromwell CSC (The Collaborative School Committee) All-School Grant. You can read more in-depth about the grant below under programs. The Bromwell PTA has also run the school library for the past two academic years and sponsored events like Family Movie Night, Middle School Options Night, Book Fair, and Multicultural Night. The PTA has also ensured that the Bromwell school garden continues to thrive, even providing fresh peaches and vegetables to our cafeteria grown by and harvested by our students and their families.
