Play to Grow Athletics was established to increase equitable access to athletic participation for youth and adults by addressing financial and systemic barriers. We provide scholarships to under-resourced athletes, deliver inclusive athletic experiences for youth in foster care and other underserved populations, and supplement public school athletic programs. Play to Grow will create ongoing youth sports leagues from ages 6-18. Play to Grow also will offer camps (hopefully partnering with former professional athletes) and personal training services for youth who want to continue self-improvement during the off season, as well as offer trauma-informed sports camps for youth experiencing hardships. Because our team are social workers, our passion is creating camps, programs, leagues and tournaments for youth in foster care and youth whose families may not be able to afford these programs. Services will be ongoing leagues for soccer, flag football, volleyball and basketball (and potentially pickleball, contingent on demand). Play to Grow will create community events as well for ongoing fundraisers for local businesses and community members. Play to Grow will also form waitlist teams for youth who want to participate in these leagues, but don't have a team to play on.
