Help Bring Assisted Living and Memory Care
to Chaffee County
If you believe Chaffee County deserves local Assisted Living and Memory Care options, please consider donating to Places to Age during this Colorado Gives season.
Our Focus for the First Half of 2026
Our top priority will be to secure the funding for construction. We’ve completed our comprehensive Business Plan and now have an updated Market Study, which is being shared with potential funders and financial institutions. Early conversations have been positive and encouraging — a positive sign!
Our strategy remains clear: move the project forward while continually reducing risk, making it an increasingly attractive opportunity for investors and partners.
In 2026, we plan to complete the Architectural Design Development phase, which includes the required engineering and technical work — an effort estimated at $285,000.
Why Local Support Matters
While we’ve applied for numerous grants, funding sources are under growing strain as federal programs face cuts and philanthropic organizations receive record numbers of requests. That’s why support from the Chaffee County community is more important than ever.
Every contribution — large or small — helps us take another tangible step toward creating a place where older adults can stay close to home, friends, and family as their needs change.
Progress continues day by day, and we remain deeply grateful for the community’s encouragement and generosity.
Together, we can make this vision a reality.
