Places to Age Launches Matching Funds Campaign
Double Your Impact: Help Build the Future of Senior Living in Chaffee County!
April 30, 2025 - Places to Age is excited to announce a matching funds campaign to support preconstruction and infrastructure planning for an Assisted Living and Memory Care community in Chaffee County.
Thanks to the generous support of anonymous donors, every dollar donated by July 27, 2025, will be matched — dollar-for-dollar, up to $35,000! This is a unique opportunity to double your contribution while helping build a strong future for seniors in Chaffee County.
Community members can help bring this vision to life by donating today at www.placestoage.org/donate
“This show of support for our mission is a game-changer for our seniors,” said Marilyn Bouldin, Board Member at Places to Age. “With this matching support, we will make our vision of a local Assisted Living and Memory Care community a reality. This is a rare opportunity to make your gift go twice as far.”
The nonprofit is calling on Chaffee County residents — and those with a vested interest in the future of the community — to give today. “With this support, we can bring our community one step closer to a future where local seniors can age in place with dignity, safety, and connection,” said Cheryl Brown-Kovacic, Vice Chair at Places to Age. “Even in times that feel uncertain, we can act locally — right here, right now — to strengthen our community for generations to come.”
A Future Home with Needed Services and Support for Our Local Seniors
This matching campaign will help fund the preconstruction work needed for the 10 acres of land located between CR 120 and CR 140 in Salida. This funding is one of many important steps: throughout 2025, the organization will work to raise $200,000 for preconstruction prior to the construction phase.
The campaign also highlights the need for long-term community support to carry the project from planning to construction through to operations. This is your chance to make a lasting difference in the lives of our seniors here in Chaffee County.
