Mission
Peak Education walks alongside youth as they prepare to pursue the education and training they need to reach their dreams – illuminating the possibilities after high school, guiding them as they chart their course and providing support, resources, and skills to equip them for the journey.
Background Statement
Peak Education has served Colorado Springs for the past 25 years and has built on the founder's mission to ensure Peak Education scholars are empowered to take ownership of their educational journeys and receive support and mentorship to overcome any barriers which may prevent them from reaching their full potential. The initial mission has evolved into a comprehensive program which supports Colorado Springs youth from low-income backgrounds in their efforts to prepare for, enroll in, and complete a postsecondary option.
Peak Education works to create change at every level impacting a student's trajectory. This includes partnering directly with their families, schools, and the greater Colorado Springs community to work toward positive outcomes for Peak Education scholars. This is accomplished through 1) social-emotional education and career-readiness development, 2) mentoring programs, 3) service-learning & civic engagement opportunities, and 4) college and scholarship counseling.
