We are a Colorado 501 (c)(3) non-profit supporting families following stillbirth, newborn and infant loss by providing free Care Packages to hospitals in Colorado. We work hard to create Care Packages for families who have experienced infant loss, offering them comfort and support during their time of grief. Through the collective efforts of our Board of Directors, volunteers and donors Petals of Light aims to provide families with carefully selected items in each Care Package and a sense of community to those navigating the challenging journey of infant loss. By coming together with shared experiences and a common goal, we strive to bring love, hope and healing to families facing such heartbreaking circumstances.

Lucas John was stillborn on April 23, 1989. As Geri looked down at him swaddled in a blue green surgical cloth, she had no idea the journey that lay ahead. When Baby Bell was miscarried in May of 1991, the journey intensified in a way that left Geri without words to describe.
Many years later Geri and her daughter Melisa were able to honor Lucas John and Baby Bell at a Remembrance Walk Melisa was volunteering at. Geri began sewing and donating blankets for Care Packages that were donated to metro Denver hospitals. When the program transitioned to Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Geri began volunteering as a Care Package Committee Member and Melisa continued to volunteer at Care Package Assemblies.
In 2023 Geri and Melisa founded Petals of Light to continue the Care Package program that Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep graciously transitioned to them.
