$30,000 Goal

We are a small group of volunteers in Grover, Colorado, dedicated to preserving our past to share with the future. Right now our focus is on restoration of the historic train depot on the old Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railway that ran from Sterling, Colorado, to Cheyenne, Wyoming. This 138 year-old depot turned museum in 1980, is in desperate need of foundation stabilization and total restoration of all windows and doors. We are just finishing up work on a State Historic Grant to stabilize part of the foundation and are now fundraising to reach a $30,000 goal to be added to grants and donations that have already come in. Our group hopes to meet a final goal of $50,000 which will be used as matching funds for an additional State Historic Grant to be applied for October 1, 2025.

Mission

Preserving local and northeastern Colorado history and the Grover Depot Museum.

For over 40 years the Grover Depot has served as an educational and cultural resource drawing visitors from across Colorado and beyond.

Railroad and literature enthusiasts, educators, and students visit the museum to explore the history of the plains and rural life.

Our goal is to restore and to keep this valuable resource available to anyone that wishes to visit.
