We are a volunteer-based organization made up of local residents and property owners passionate about returning skiing to Cuchara, Colorado after the old ski area was abandoned over 20 years ago. Once Lift 4 is certified, we will provide a truly affordable and family-friendly ski hill that helps break down financial barriers to participation, gets more people out into the outdoors, and bring all-season economic benefits to one of the poorest counties in Colorado. Benefits are not limited to just skiing and winter sports, we are building Cuchara Mountain Park (a Huerfano County Public Park) into a year-round destination where a wide range of outdoor recreation and educational opportunities are available to everyone.
Please help us to ensure Cuchara Mountain Park is a sustainable, year-round attraction available to all residents of Huerfano County and visitors alike to enjoy and learn about winter sports and outdoor recreation, as well as build an appreciation for nature.

Bring lift-aided skiing and year-round recreation to Cuchara Mountain Park, ensuring that fun, affordable, and educational opportunities are available for everyone.
PSC was founded in 2019 to rejuvenate Lift 4 at Cuchara Mountain Park and return skiing and of lift-aided amenities to Cuchara 20 years after the old ski area closed. In the years since we have made significant progress repairing the old Riblet double chair and are close to getting it certified by the Colorado Passenger Tramway Safety Board. Once Lift 4 is certified PSC will operate skiing and other activities at Cuchara Mountain Park. Our goal is to ensure that we provide affordable, family-friendly experiences that help more people enjoy the great Colorado outdoors.
