Background Statement
The YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region is proud to be part of the largest nonprofit in the country. Everything we do is about helping people grow stronger in spirit, mind, and body. From little kids to teens, parents to grandparents, everyone is welcome at the Y.
The Y is a place where people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities come together to play, learn, and support one another. We believe in values like caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility, and we do our best to show those values every day. Whether it's through swimming lessons, sports, after-school fun, or healthy activities, the Y is a place where kids and families can feel at home.
We believe that everyone should have the chance to be part of the Y, no matter their financial situation. That is why we work hard to make sure no one is turned away because of cost.
The YMCA was started by volunteers, and they are still a big part of who we are today. Volunteers help in so many ways, from reading stories to little ones to coaching youth teams and spending time with seniors. Their kindness and energy help make the Y a special place for everyone.
