Pikes Peak Hospice exceeded my hopes for care and emotional support. I have told so many people about the warmth and care my husband and my family received during this stressful time. I can't tell them enough of my appreciation and gratitude.

Background Statement

In the late 1970's, two strong-willed women had a concept of care, and saw an opportunity to meet a profound need in the Colorado Springs community. Having learned about the hospice philosophy, these dedicated women, Flo Carris and Susan Langstaff, envisioned specialized end-of-life care focused on the unique needs of the individuals this care would serve. They were joined by many volunteers and financial supporters, and PPHPC was established in 1980. Flo and Susan are no longer with us, yet PPHPC's staff and volunteers carry on their legacy each and every day ensuring that terminally-ill individuals and their loved ones are able to have a compassionate, comfortable, and dignified life closure.
