$30,000 Goal

When families are in need in their most difficult hours, Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care is there. As adults and children face life-limiting illness and navigate grief, PPHPC walks alongside them on their journey. PPHPC is the only nonprofit hospice in the Pikes Peak region, with a mission to provide compassionate and expert end-of-life care to patients and their families and to lead change in the community to ensure comfort for all who face serious illness.

We serve all who need our care regardless of socioeconomic status. We also provide services above and beyond what insurance covers. This could be everything from visits by a music therapist to emergency financial aid to helping families create lasting memories with loved ones when time is fleeting. We also are proud to be the only hospice provider in El Paso County to hold a Level 5 Partner Status with We Honor Veterans, recognizing the highest standard of hospice care for those who have served our country.

Testimonials

"Pikes Peak Hospice exceeded my hopes for care and emotional support. I have told so many people about the warmth and care my husband and my family received during this stressful time. I can't tell them enough of my appreciation and gratitude."

Mission

Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care provides compassionate and expert end-of-life care to patients and their families, partners with those who share our vision, and leads change in the community to ensure comfort for all who face serious illness.

Background Statement

Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care is focused on providing specialized end-of-life care for patients and their families.

In the late 1970s, community volunteers Flo Carris and Susan Langstaff saw an opportunity to meet a profound need in the Colorado Springs community for end-of-life care. Joined by many volunteers and financial supporters, Carris and Langstaff established hospice care in El Paso County. Through this commitment, terminally ill individuals and their loved ones were ensured a compassionate, comfortable, and dignified life closure.

This vision became Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care, now serving more than 2,200 patients and their families annually.

We believe that hospice care is about living, and that every patient and their family members deserve consistent expert care and compassionate personal attention during this journey.
