I give this place a five star rating because they are absolutely amazing a gift sent from God because they saved one of my beautiful fur babies that I could no longer keep from being euthanized and I know in their hearts they truly love animals and I don't know what I would've done without them.

Both Debbie and Frankie helped me out immensely. They care deeply and make a hard process easier. I'm so grateful for this organization and how much it helped me.

I love this store they always have great finds and reasonable prices. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Best of all they are there to give back to the community. They are passionate about animals and they strive to do all they can to help animals in need. However their compassion extends beyond animals and encompasses the the well being of the community itself and the people who live here. Thank you for all you do! You are a wonderful asset to Fort Morgan!

Mission

Our mission is to be a socially conscious animal community and to create the best outcomes for all animals by ensuring every unwanted or homeless pet has a safe place to go for shelter and care and aligning our policies with the needs of our local communities.

Background Statement

PAWSecond Chance Rescue a local non-profit animal rescue located in rural Colorado on the Northeast Plains. We were founded in 2017 by a group of locals that saw a growing need for another animal rescue to service our area. The desire to form this rescue developed out of the dire need for our community to have a safe place that they know they can bring an animal to for shelter, food, and protection. Our population is steadily on the rise which in turn means that there are more animals, and although we do have a local Humane Society their space and availability has become very limited. The vast majority of the animals that come into our care are owner surrenders and strays.
