Our Front Porch's mission is to redefine disaster recovery by delivering the nation’s only dedicated Stabilization Phase, bridging the gap between immediate response and long-term recovery. We guide survivors through complex systems, help them overcome barriers, and provide the emotional and practical support needed to move forward with confidence.
We began in 2013 as a collaboration between a licensed social worker and a licensed architect. With both women having backgrounds in disaster recovery, they recognized a huge gap in long-term disaster recovery, especially with respect to home fires that don't receive the attention of large-scale wildfires and floods. OFP was created to provide home fire and other disaster survivors with resources that aren't covered by State and local resources. We partner with Red Cross, who provides immediate crisis support, and then passes clients on to Our Front Porch for continued, ongoing support.
