A nonprofit organization

The Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Victory Athletics seeks to form and discipline mind, body, and soul in a way that brings athletes closer to Christ, who is our ultimate goal and reason for our every action.

Testimonials

“It is much easier to push yourself when you offer the suffering for someone else. Cross Country became more about others than myself with this emphasis on our Faith.” — Summer Urban (Class of ‘24)

“OLV athletics are a growing culture, but a beautiful testimony to Faith. We suffer together when we loose, we rejoice together when we win and through it all we are always praying.” — Colleen Kelly (Class of ‘24)

“OLV has grown tremendously in its athletic program. It went from no sports at all my freshman year to multiple sports, including both a JV and Varsity boys basketball team my senior year. OLV has shown an eagerness to grow and develop its culture through athletics.” — John Remstad (Class of ‘24)

“Practicing to offer up my tiredness, pain, or difficulties that are unavoidable in sport, has been so rewarding in my prayer life. It has developed a habit of constantly bringing struggles to the cross which Jesus can transform into something so beautiful.” — Ana Gutierrez (Class of ‘25)

“The team by the end of the season is really just friends who we can trust and grow with.” — Maria Chavez (Class of ‘26)

“The culture at OLV in regards to athletics is super alive in the sense that it clearly shows what OLV is all about, finding excellence in everything we do.” — Diego Gutierrez (Class of ‘27)

Mission

The mission of the Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Victory is to raise up a generation of joyful leaders and saints, educated in the classical tradition and the truths of the Catholic faith, abounding in the skills and character requisite for success in college and professional life as well as in building up the kingdom of God, and to excel in service of family, of country, and of Christ our Lord.

Background Statement

Our athletics program started in the 2023-2024 school year with cross country, boys and girls basketball, a strength and conditioning program and a spike ball league. We had 60% of our students participate in a program. Coming into our second year we have added girls volleyball and look to add girls soccer in the spring. CAOLV plans to expand over the years to bring more programs and opportunities for every student to be a part of.

CAOLV does not have its own gym or other sports facilities. Your support will help provide students with places to practice/compete, proper equipment, uniforms, and more, allowing these athletes to participate and enjoy a memorable and formative time.
