Opera Theatre of the Rockies is "Where the Stars First Shine". From educational outreach, to immersive training programs, to staging full opera performances, Opera Theatre of the Rockies works to promote opera and vocal arts in Southern Colorado. Starting with youth programs such as "Opera Theatre Goes to School" and culminating in training programs like our annual "Vocal Arts Festival", we strive to spark joy for vocal arts at a young age, and provide avenues to explore and expand that joy through the ages. From that first spark and through intense training, Opera Theatre of the Rockies has helped to launch the careers of many successful opera stars who have joined the Metropolitain Opera in New York, Santa Fe Opera in New Mexico, and Central City Opera right here in Colorado!
Opera Theatre of the Rockies advances opera throughout southern Colorado through education, training, and performance. It is dedicated to building the careers of Colorado performers and to developing audiences that are diverse in age, race, geographic location, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic status.
Opera Theatre of the Rockies is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to the advancement of opera in Southern Colorado through performance, education, and training.
