$20,000 Goal

OneTable is a North American Jewish nonprofit organization that combines technology and a peer-to-peer engagement strategy to build community and connection through Shabbat dinner gatherings.

For us, success means a whole generation of Jewish young adults finding joy and connection through Jewish ritual and tradition. We recruit and support volunteer hosts who post their dinners on our custom tech platform, introduce them to Jewish learning with coaching, DIY tools, and financial support. Our digital platform invites people to build a Shabbat practice that feels personal, authentic, valuable, and lasting.

Since we launched our Colorado Hub in 2016, more than 15,000 young adults have participated in more than 6,300 Shabbat dinners across our vibrant community, creating over 50,000 seats at the table. That's a whole lot of challah!

One Colorado host shared: "I am a proud Jew attempting to spread the relaxing nature of Shabbat to my friends. Inclusion and great food is extremely important to me. I  have a lot of Jewish friends in Denver, and most of us are away from our families. Spending time together on Friday night is very important to us."

Thanks to the incredible generosity of Emeri and Brad Handler, every contribution to OneTable will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $10,000

Mission

OneTable's mission is to make Shabbat dinner accessible to tens of thousands of people who otherwise would be absent from Jewish community. OneTable provides hosts and guests with easily accessible tools and resources, making these rituals not only attainable, but sustainable.
