Background Statement
The NoCo Autism Connection was born from a simple but powerful need: connection. For autistic individuals and their families, finding community, understanding, and meaningful opportunities to participate can often feel difficult and isolating. We believe families should not have to navigate the autism journey alone.
As a grassroots, family-led organization, The NoCo Autism Connection was created locally and is shaped by the experiences and needs of the very community we serve. Our work focuses on building a stronger network of support across Northern Colorado by bringing families together, creating inclusive opportunities, connecting people with resources, educating the broader community, and advocating for greater understanding and inclusion.
From sensory-friendly and family events to community education, autism trainings, resource connections, and partnerships with local businesses and organizations, we work to create spaces where autistic individuals and their caregivers can come as they are, participate in ways that work for them, and know they belong.
At the heart of everything we do is our belief that community matters. By creating connection, building understanding, and reducing isolation, we can help create a Northern Colorado where autistic individuals and their families are not only supported, but truly included.
