Giving a Hand-up to those in Need
$75 Raised
Help us provide resources and services for the poor and vulnerable; the Chaffee Community Resource Center and the Sanctuary Soup Kitchen are programs of New Caring and Sharing that serves the needy with food, housing and clothing, bus tickets, utility and heating assistance, and loaning medical supplies.
Since the 1970's, New Caring & Sharing has served anyone who requests assistance with clothing, basic household necessities, food, and items needed for health. Located in Central Colorado, we are a crossroads for five counties and thousands passing through.
Caring & Sharing Thrift Store, Resource Center and Sanctuary Soup Kitchen is an outreach of giving that honors Jesus Christ and His way of reaching people by meeting their needs.
Birthed in 1970's by Helen Nachtrieb, New Caring and Sharing became a vital resource for recycling usable housewares, clothes, and anything usable at thrift store prices. New Caring and Sharing purchased the nearly 10,000 sq. ft. facility in 2006 and added the Hot Meal Soup Kitchen serving nearly 100 hungry persons a week. That same year, Valley to Valley Senior Day Care was added giving a healthy, productive environment for our Seniors with respite for their caregivers. Since 2013, the Chaffee Community Resource Center has been assisting our needy with food, housing and clothing, bus tickets, utility assistance and loaning out medical equipment.
