Right now, being an immigrant in this country is harder than it's been in a long time, but at New America College, we see students show up every day to make their life in American better by learning English in an intensive environment.
Adults from all over the world walk through our doors looking for more than English. They’re immigrants, refugees, international students. They're looking for a way to feel steady again. A way to advocate for their kids. A way to keep their job, or get a better one. A way to belong.
We've been doing this work since 2007, and we've kept our tuition as low as we possibly can. Right now it's $412 for 72 hours of class for local students, or about $5.72 an hour. But that price doesn't come close to covering what it actually takes to teach well: good instructors, real support, a place where people feel welcome. We don't get government grants, and students can't take out federal loans for classes like ours. So we depend on people who care about this as much as we do.
And while our tuition is low, it’s still hard for some people to afford it. Many of our students work full-time and still make time for 18 hours of in-person classes a week. We never want somebody to have to decide between rent or English classes, so we’re raising money for our scholarship fund.

Founded in 2007, New America College (NAC) is a nonprofit intensive English language school dedicated to empowering adult immigrants and refugees. Students study 18 hours per week in the morning or evening. Each year, NAC serves students from more than 40 countries who come seeking opportunity, connection, and a brighter future. Through full-immersion English instruction, workforce readiness training, and a strong community of support, we equip students with the skills and confidence they need to succeed in Colorado’s workplaces and neighborhoods. NAC fills a critical gap by ensuring that language is not a barrier to belonging, stability, or contribution.
