The Nederland Farmers Market’s mission is to build a market that serves as a profitable outlet for local businesses and agriculture, a valuable source of fresh and healthy foods for consumers, and a gathering place that strengthens our community. We are dedicated to increasing access to affordable, locally grown produce for all residents, ensuring that fresh, nutritious food is available to everyone in our mountain communities.
Our goal is to work in conjunction with the Nederland Food Pantry and Community Gardens, Nederland Area Seniors, Nourish Colorado, and SNAP to provide healthy, local food to Nederland, Colorado, and the surrounding mountain communities.
Our farmers market has been a community staple since 2016. What began as a volunteer-based effort has grown into a vibrant, weekly event every Sunday from May through October. We offer consistent access to fresh, local produce at our markets and through local food shares. We host both large and small markets throughout the season, creating space for local growers, artisans, and neighbors to connect. Now celebrating our 10th year, the market continues to expand—we host two large festivals and three farm to table events each season, bringing the community together to celebrate local food and sustainable living.
The market season begins on the second Sunday in May (always Mother’s Day) and ends on the first Sunday of October with our Harvest Fest celebration. We also provide 20+ weeks of pre-ordered boxes, where customers can pre-order from our online shop between May and early October.
