Mesa Verde Back Country Horsemen (MVBCH), formed in 1998, is a part of the national Back Country Horsemen of America organization that was formed, grass roots, in 1973.  MVBHC serves primarily Montezuma and Dolores Counties in Colorado.  We educate our members and the public on the wise and sustainable use of pack and saddle stock on our public lands.  We assist our government agencies in the management of our public lands, by clearing trails for equestrian use.  Equestrian use is an historic use in Colorado, and we strive to keep horses on our trails and public lands, keeping public lands in public hands and keeping the integrity of the Wilderness Act intact.  If you have a love of horses and mules and want to keep our access to our millions of acres of public lands in Colorado, please join us.
