MUSANA

A nonprofit organization

We are a faith-driven nonprofit organization that uses a business model to lift communities out of poverty.

OUR VISION:  To see communities free of dependency and full of dignity.

OUR MISSION:  To break cycles of dependency and poverty by investing in and operating faith-driven, locally-owned, sustainable social enterprises.

Donations are used to build essential, high-quality, and self-sustaining schools, hospitals, and other social enterprises* that are then operated and owned by the locals.

*What is a social enterprise? A business committed to addressing social and community needs, prioritizing impact over maximizing profit.

When you give to Musana, you empower locals with the infrastructure they need to make change within their own communities. Join us - let's build communities that thrive for generations!

2025 COLORADO GIVES DAY

Seventeen years ago, we opened Musana’s first school in Iganga with 80 rescued children. None of us could have imagined what God would do from that humble beginning.

Today, over 9,100 students have been educated through Musana’s schools. Each life is a testimony to what happens when light and hope break into a community.

This January, Musana will reach another milestone with three new schools opening. A vocational high school in Kamuli and, for the first time, two schools opening simultaneously in new communities, Mayuge and Budaka, offering preschool through 7th grade. For hundreds of children, it will be their first day in a real classroom and the start of a brighter future.

The groundbreaking is complete, and construction is underway. These schools cannot open without your help. Your gift will ensure classrooms are ready for students on day one.

A light that begins in Mayuge and Budaka and will shine across Uganda for generations to come. As we celebrate the light of Christ this season, will you help us let the light in?
