The Montrose Recreation Foundation (MRF) accepts donations to offer fee assistance to low-income local residents to participate in Montrose Recreation District (MRD) programs, leagues and other activities. We have helped many families and individuals over the past few years who otherwise would not be able to afford to be involved. Those who qualify may also receive assistance to take advantage the MRD facilities such as the Montrose Recreation Center and the Field House.
Through your donations, we aim to improve the overall health and happiness of Montrose. Our belief is that recreation and fitness are for everyone!
The MRF's fundraising also supports recreation-oriented capital projects at the MRD.
The Montrose Rec Foundation raises awareness and generates support for the expansion of recreational opportunities within the Montrose community. To enhance the health and quality of life for Montrose residents, the MRF emphasizes fundraising for youth recreation scholarships and capital improvements to expand recreational opportunities. The MRF works closely with the Montrose Recreation District Board of Directors and staff to accomplish its goals and vision.
The Montrose Recreation Foundation was established to ensure that everyone in our community has the opportunity to participate in recreation, regardless of financial circumstances, while also helping with capital projects in our recreation areas and facilities that make Montrose a great place to live.
We believe recreation changes lives. Whether it's a child playing on a sports team for the first time, adults and seniors meeting up with friends on the court, someone exercising in a quality facility becoming healthier physically and mentally, access to quality recreation strengthens health, builds confidence, and brings people together.
Working in partnership with the Montrose Recreation District, the Foundation provides financial assistance for individuals and families who need help participating in recreation programs and helps fund projects that improve recreational opportunities for current and future generations. Every donation stays local, directly benefiting the people and communities of the Montrose area.
