Monte Vista Education Foundation

A nonprofit organization

The Monte Vista Education Foundation (MVEF) was established on April 25, 1995, to enhance educational opportunities for students in Monte Vista, Colorado. Our mission is to empower students by promoting educational excellence and a strong work ethic. Guided by a dedicated volunteer board, the Foundation secures funds through gifts, bequests, trusts, employee contributions, and personal donations.

In challenging budget times, our Colorado Gives campaign is vital for sustaining supplemental support for staff and students in the Monte Vista School District. Your contributions directly fund grade level and student-based projects, athletics, arts, music, and STEM initiatives—creating opportunities that inspire achievement and personal growth. Grant applications from staff are accepted year-round, ensuring resources reach those who need them most.

With your support, we can continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students and help them reach their full potential.

Recent funded projects are:

  • Autoclave for classroom and student experiments - $15,000
