Monarch Band Boosters provides support to the many programs for Monarch High School. Approximately 25% of all students at Monarch participate in one or more of our performing arts programs and are able to participate without regard of ability to pay. Thank you for supporting the Monarch Band!
"Now I don't say this lightly, but band means everything to me. Band has not only made me a better player and marcher but in fact it has made me a better person. In my four years with the band I've matured, grown, and been stronger than I've ever been, both mentally and physically. The band is my family and through it I've made some amazing friendships. Though it has moved me socially, it has also taught me so much. It has taught me discipline, work ethic, disappointment, perseverance, and most of all it has taught me passion. It has taught me to love what I do, and to do what I love. It has made me want to pursue a career in music. No other organization that I know of has given me so many memories that I hold as fondly as I do with band. And with an explosive tie-die of emotions band runs you life. Your happy, sad, distraught, mad, but once you are at band, that doesn't matter anymore. Because the band is sometimes the only place willing to love you no matter where you are in life. No matter where you're going. And its because of this, we see a division in people, those who loved High School and those who did not. Band, for me, has made the swirling cesspool of idiocy we all know as high school bearable. Fun even. It was the light in the dark and wouldn't take it back or change it for the world. The mission of the Monarch High School Band Boosters is to provide financial and music education support for the Monarch High School band programs, which includes the marching band, concert bands, jazz bands, indoor percussion and winter guard. The Band Boosters primarily provides this support by:
1. Coordinating, organizing and running fundraising efforts and donation campaigns
2. Helping to provide for needs within the Monarch Music Department
3. Supporting students in competitions and events
4. Receiving funds, developing budgets, and managing expenses for each ensemble within the band program.
Monarch High School opened in the fall of 1998. The Monarch Music Community built the musical programs for the benefit of the students and community and in 2006 established the Monarch Band Booster organization. The band programs have been a vital part of the school and community. Monarch High School Marching Band competes statewide in 4A. In 2023 and 2024 the Marching Band finished 2nd in State. Monarch Indoor Percussion has won Open Class State 7 times. Winter Guard won state in 2014.
