Mary's Hands

A nonprofit organization

$16,653 raised by 45 donors

Mary’s Hands was created in the midst of the 2020 pandemic to grow fresh fruit

and vegetables for our local community members facing food insecurity.

Mary's Hands is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit.

A mostly solar and people powered operation,

we make deliveries primarily using electric vehicles and

grow using organic and regenerative methods.

We began by taking produce to local food pantries.

Our work evolves as we learn and grow

and we are currently delivering directly to low income housing communities,

reducing our customer's barriers to food access.

During the growing season, we make weekly deliveries to

several communities in Boulder, Colorado.

We add delivery sites as our capacity grows.

The food is not surplus. It is grown for our customers,

picked that morning and delivered to their location.

In 2022 we began soliciting customer input to create our crop plan

for the following year. This now annual practice has led us to plant a food

forrest so that we can provide fruit; our customers' number one requested item.

In 2024 we began providing plant starts per our customers' request.

We are currently exploring how we can further collaborate with our customers

in the development of community gardens.

We seek to transfer power and dignity to our customers

and to reduce our customer's barriers to food access.
