LEAF offers resources to grow health and wellbeing in the Greater Lyons area.
LEAF began in 2008 when the pastor of Lyons Community Church started a Food Pantry and Basic Needs emergency fund to support people in the Greater Lyons area who didn’t have enough to eat or needed help covering essentials like heat, electricity, rent, and medical bills. In 2016, LEAF became its own 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
Today, LEAF is the only human service agency serving exclusively the Greater Lyons area. We offer five comprehensive programs: the Lyons Community Food Pantry, Lyons Meals on Wheels, Basic Needs & Resource Matching, Mental Wellness & Addiction Recovery, and Lyons Volunteers. Each year, LEAF serves nearly 30% of our local population.
We settled into our new location early in 2025 and continue meeting growing community needs despite funding challenges, we invite you to partner with us. Your support ensures that LEAF can continue to nourish, care for, and empower our neighbors in Greater Lyons.
