$2,000 Goal

The Longmont Artists' Guild is not just an organization, but a vibrant community of over 120 artists in Longmont, Colorado. Founded in 1957, the Guild has been a key player in the local art scene, participating in events like Longmont Arts Week, ArtWalk, and the 2nd Saturday Art Crawl. These events offer members the chance to showcase their work and connect with the community. We welcome visual artists of all skill levels, ages and media to participate in all of our exhibitions, markets and workshops. We strive to create an inclusive culture that will help each member grow and expand their practice through a wide variety of opportunities while not sacrificing their artistic voice and vision.

The Guild hosts monthly member meetings teaching and demonstrating a multitude of topics ranging from traditional to emerging media as well as business and financial practices for artists. In the fiscal year covering 2025-2026, we had guest speakers demonstrate paint pouring, screen printing, gouache, 3D printing, block printing, polymer mask making, art licensing, digital and mobile POS apps and many more!

We offer three annual, non-juried member art shows with two hosted at the Boulder County Fairgrounds and one hosted at the Great Frame Up in downtown Longmont. These shows provide artists with the opportunity to show and sell their work as well as win prizes in categories such as Technical Excellence, Compositional Excellence and People’s Choice. Additionally, these shows offer member artists the opportunity to volunteer, meet each other and discuss their practices.

Every spring, members of the Guild get the wonderful opportunity to judge the St. Vrain Valley School District Art Show. This event showcases art of all media types completed by students across the district from both traditional and non-traditional education backgrounds. The Guild provides $500.00 in gift cards to be awarded to the winners and we would like to grow this prize allowance as the school district continues to grow.

In autumn, the Guild has begun offering an Art Market hosted by the historic Callahan House in downtown Longmont. This event provides member artists with an avenue for selling their artwork in a retail setting and getting practice with booth set up, pricing, marketing and talking to buyers in a low-pressure environment. We are in our second year of this event and we are looking forward to growing every year!

The Guild will be partnering with Tinker Mill, another Longmont artist non-profit to host artist workshops covering many of the topics covered in our member meetings. Their space will provide our members with room to stretch out and get the most out of the presented workshop topic.
