Shelter funds
At Little Rescue on the Prairie, our passion is helping cats! We get cats off the streets, assist them with medical care, get them socialized, and find them a happy fur-ever home. To do this we greatly need funds. We are an all volunteer team working very hard to help cats. We would greatly appreciate you lending a paw with this effort! We are in dire need of veterinary funds, funds for supplies, and funds for construction and expansion of our shelter. Thank you for your generosity and lending a paw to cats in need!

Mission
The mission of Little Rescue on the Prairie is to work with compassionate individuals, local governments and other volunteers/community members to achieve population decline of the unaltered, free-roaming, feral, and/or abandoned domestic cats in our area through education and the use of a humane technique know as Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR)
Our goals include:
* A long-term community commitment to, and achievement of the reduction of the local free-roaming cat population.
* Improved quality of life for homeless cats and kittens, humane treatment, and a community understanding that they are victims of circumstance, deserve care and kindness, and provide a valuable public service in rodent control.
* Reduction of the occurrence of nuisance behaviors associated with mating, including spraying, yowling, and fighting so that people and cats can live in harmony.
* An end to the incidence of cats and kittens destroyed by animal shelters and animal control agencies simply due to their numbers or failure to be adopted.
* Education and encouragement of participation from community members, other animal support groups, veterinarians, and local government so that there is a clear understanding of the success that can be achieved through the operation of a strong Trap/Neuter/Return program.
* Providing shelter, food, medical care and rehoming for surrendered and abandoned feral and friendly cats.
Background Statement
Little Rescue on the Prairie started out as a couple of cat loving ladies with a devotion to cats and a dream, and it snowballed into a full cat rescue.
