Youth Sports Giving Day begins next Tue 1 SEP 2026 at 6PM and runs through Tue 15 SEP 2026.  Your gift supports new turf at Everett Field and the resurfacing of the track for Liberty scholar-athletes.  Matching funds are limited, so early gifts have the greatest opportunity to be amplified.

Mission

The mission of Liberty Common School is to provide excellence and fairness in education for schoolchildren through a common foundation by successfully teaching a contextual body of organized knowledge, the skills of learning including the Thinking Framework and the values of a democratic society. The School recognizes the value of inclusiveness, or providing access to a broad cross-section of the community, so that students from all backgrounds can benefit from the School's educational offering. The School acknowledges the leadership of teachers in the classroom and recognizes the responsibility of each student for his/her academic effort.

Background Statement

In the early 1990s, a small group of determined parents, led by Mrs. Ruth Ann and Dr. Randy Everett, began pursuing true parental choice in education in Northern Colorado, eventually founding Liberty Common School. After years of persistent advocacy—including legal challenges, facility searches, and community support—the school opened in 1997 with more than 400 students in grades K–8. From its beginnings in a repurposed toothpaste factory, LCS steadily grew, adding upper grades and new facilities while establishing a reputation for academic distinction grounded in the Core Knowledge Curriculum and broader classically oriented instructional strategies. Today, LCS operates across four campuses, serving students in grades K–12, and continues to thrive as one of Colorado’s consistently top-performing schools.
