Today, more than 25,000 people rely on The Center every year — and with queer folks across the country flocking to Colorado in search of a safe haven, our work is more vital than ever.

The mission of The Center on Colfax is to engage, empower, enrich, and advance the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer community of Colorado.
For 50 years, The Center on Colfax has been Denver’s LGBTQ+ community institution—a lifeline, beacon, and a gathering place.
We serve thousands annually through peer programs, social groups and youth outreach. Today, we face a growing number of new challenges. The hateful rhetoric nationwide, changes in policies and resources, and shrinking number of safe spaces are driving a migration to Colorado. We must expand our services, opportunities, and physical space to meet the needs of the queer community.
