Imagine your child not being able to dance because there’s nowhere affordable to go…Or your grandmother having to give up the Zumba class that keeps her active and smiling...Or you sitting home missing the fun and friendship of a dance — simply because venue costs are too high.
That’s the reality too many families, seniors, and dancers face across Larimer and Weld counties.
Recently, 5 dance groups became homeless.
Notified by the Masonic Event Center in November of a change in business model, their rental cost raised by 500%
$40/hr became $200/hr. ! This is NOT affordable for local dance clubs and instructors.
The Legacy, Front Range Square Dance Center, Inc. is working to change that
— making it possible for clubs and instructors to offer big-value, low-cost classes and
opportunities for youth, adults, and seniors across every genre of dance and movement.
But there’s one thing we still don’t have: a permanent, accessible home.
We already lost one building opportunity because we didn’t have the funds in place. We can’t afford to miss out again.
We’re urgently working to raise an initial downpayment to secure a space
that will serve dancers and movers of all ages and abilities!
Our $25,000.00 goal for this "Give the Gift of Movement" campaign is a crucial part of our goal.
$25,000.00 buys enough Dancing with the Stars flooring to create a ballroom of approximately 2400 square feet.
One step-swing-twirl at a time we can KEEP dance affordable in our community.
- Kids can twirl, leap, and smile
- Seniors can stay active, social, and healthy in classes they love
- Adults can find joy in dance, movement and community — All affordably!
✨ If you believe no one should be priced out of the chance to dance — now is the moment to act.
