Give the Gift of Movement — Before We Lose Our Shot (Again)

Imagine your child not being able to dance because there’s nowhere affordable to go…Or your grandmother having to give up the Zumba class that keeps her active and smiling...Or you sitting home  missing the fun and friendship of a dance — simply because studio costs are too high.

That’s the reality too many families, seniors, and dancers face across Larimer and Weld counties.

The Legacy, Front Range Square Dance Center, Inc. is changing that — making it possible for clubs and instructors to offer big-value, low-cost classes and opportunities for youth, adults, and seniors across every genre of dance and movement.

But there’s one thing we still don’t have: a permanent, accessible home.

We already lost one building opportunity because we didn’t have the funds in place. We can’t afford to miss out again.

We’re urgently working to raise an initial $250,000 downpayment to secure a space that will serve dancers
and movers of all ages and abilities!

Your donation today means:

  • Kids can twirl, leap, and smile
  • Seniors can stay active, social, and healthy in classes they love
  •  Adults can find joy in movement and community — All affordably!

If you believe no one should be priced out of the chance to dance — now is the moment to act.

Donate today to make The Legacy a reality — before this opportunity slips away again.

Mission

The Legacy's mission is to develop a trusted community venue which is designed for dance and movement, is accessible, available to the public, and affordable.

Background Statement

The Legacy Front Range Squre Dance Center was founded in 2022 as a 501(c)(3) out of frustration with the local venue market.

Locally, Covid forced small independent venues out, faith-based organizations started reprogramming for member use only, large venues began rennovating and reorganizing to attract the one-time use market willing to pay thousands of dollars for special events such as weddings, retirements, and large parties.

All this change left the weekly and monthly dance clubs, small events, and instructors in a bind for available, appropriate, and affordable dance and movement space.

As we talked with our neighbors and fellow dancers we became convinced this was not just our problem. Something needed to be done for the benefit of all of us.

The square dance community has the unique advantage of a well organized local, state and national support system. We realized we could use this position. It was time to act for the benefit of all dancers and people who practice movement as an important part of their physical and mental health.

It is our goal to bring attention to the problem and solicit financial help from our community to make the dream become a reality.

We have been fundraising and informing the community for the past 3 years. We've made progress and we even located a perfect venue opportunity. Sadly, we lost that perfect place for lack of funds. We needed money to put on the table to be invited to negotiate.

We are steppig up our fundraising efforts, in order to not miss the next opportunity. We need a downpayment to qualify for loans, to get to the negotiating table, to purchase the space we can transform into our dream!

We hope you will join our mission and help us get invited to the table.

Welcome to our "Dream Team."
