Larimer Court Support, Inc. (LCS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that directly supports the clients in the Problem Solving Courts in Larimer County, Colorado. We are committed to treatment and encourage positive lifestyles for the current and past clients who are living in recovery.

The problem solving courts were started with the goals of improving outcomes, lowering taxpayer costs, and stopping the revolving door of the court systems for participants and their families. The courts are often a "last resort" for repeat offenders who have a substance abuse and/or mental health component who need a therapy-based intensive treatment program. The programs provide a heavily structured environment with a court team-based approach who meet weekly to discuss the best course of action for each client.

There are 5 Problem Solving Courts in Larimer County.

  • Adult Drug Court
  • Juvenile Drug Court
  • DUI Recovery Court
  • Wellness Court
  • Family Court

Problem solving courts demand rigorous accountability from their participants including:

  • Screening prior to acceptance
  • Frequent appearances in court
  • Monitoring for substance abuse
  • Intensive, integrated treatment plans
  • Community Service

Individualized case plans combined with frequent judicial oversight empowers clients to engage in treatment and take responsibility for their own success.

LCS is an additional resource for these clients to bridge the gap between the them and the community. By the request of the court teams, we provide items and services needed for clients that the courts cannot provide. We help with donated goods such as: work clothes, work boots, bikes for transportation, furniture for a new place, books and clothing for children of the clients. We also assist with haircuts, eye glasses, and sober recreation events. In addition, we provide the courts with incentive reward cards to hand out to clients who are progressing well through the program.

Mission

Promote public safety, mental health, and addiction recovery through a coordinated response to Mental Health Crises and Substance Abuse, by providing family reintegration, family preservation, social reintegration, employment and education, housing services, and other aftercare activities the judicial system cannot provide due to fiscal and regulatory limitations of the courts, through provision of incentives and other needed supports to the problem solving courts in Larimer County, as accepted and approved by the Board of Directors.
