Lakewood High School Foundation was formed to raise funds to support a wide variety of programming for students, staff, and teachers at Lakewood High School. For 19 years, the Foundation, has been dedicated to making each students' experience at Lakewood world class! Its a Great Day to be a Tiger!

Lakewood High School Foundations mission is to raise funds for educational and activity purposes to support the interests of Lakewood High School's students, staff and teachers.

Background Statement

The Lakewood High School Foundation, founded in 2003, is comprised of a dedicated and motivated group of parents, community leaders, alumni and staff working together to address the education and activity needs at LHS. As a result of the growing budgetary difficulties throughout the system, funding support from the Foundation has become even more critical in recent years. From the technological support and educational tools required in the school's world-class programming opportunities that include International Baccalaureate and Advanced Placement programs, the Adaptive Physical Education program, a wide variety of Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, and extensive extracurricular activities, the LHS Foundation is an increasingly important financial tool in the LHS system.

Each year the Foundation hosts The Tiger Prowl. In 2022 Tiger Prowl raised over $27,000 with 100% of the proceeds going back to our LHS sports, clubs and activities. The Foundation also participates in Colorado Gives Day with Community First Foundation to raise funds. Each year both fundraisers become more successful and popular with the Lakewood community.
