Background Statement
For 10 years, La Veta Trails has led the charge to protect, restore, and enhance the trails and open spaces that connect our communities to nature. Thanks to our volunteers and supporters, we’ve built a powerful legacy of stewardship:
• 1,198 Volunteer Stewards
• 1,057 Youth Stewards
• 10,064 Hours of Service
• 1,995 Fallen Trees Cleared
• 211 Miles of Trail Restored
Our work goes beyond trail maintenance—we improve wildlife habitat, reduce wildfire risk, protect watersheds, and replace invasive species with native plants. Every project we take on brings people together to care for the land and ensure that future generations can enjoy the outdoors.
With your support, we can continue building a healthier, more connected future.
