Through our programs and initiatives, we strive to provide essential resources, comfort, and stability to those who need it most, empowering them to reach their full potential and build brighter futures.
Thank You for Supporting Foster Kids!
Your donation to Kruse Cares makes a direct, personal impact on foster children and the families who care for them. Every gift brings comfort, dignity, and joy to a child who needs to feel seen and valued.
Your gift of $1,000 will help fund technical school or job training for a foster youth transitioning out of the foster system, giving them the skills and confidence to build a successful future.
Your contribution of $750 will provide two foster children with everything they need this season: a warm winter coat, quality shoes, pajamas, underwear, socks, books, and a special gift just for them.
Your donation of $350 will fully equip a foster child for back to school, covering school supplies, a backpack, a water bottle, and a brand-new first-day-of-school outfit.
Your gift of $250 will help stock a foster family’s home with essentials like plastic storage containers, silverware, and toiletries—easing the burden of unexpected placements.
Your donation of $100 will provide birthday bags for four foster children, including cake mix, candles, streamers, balloons, and a small party gift—making sure no child feels forgotten on their special day.
A gift of any amount will directly support foster children and foster families in our community and will be deeply appreciated.
Together, we can make sure no foster child feels forgotten.
Our mission is to provide unwavering support and comfort to foster children during times of transition and uncertainty.
Through our dedicated programs, we aim to support a nurturing environment where every child feels valued, empowered, and cherished.
By fostering a sense of belonging and community, we endeavor to make a meaningful difference in the lives of foster children and their families, one act of kindness at a time.
Our commitment is to spread joy, inspire hope, and ensure that every child knows they are loved and supported as they embark on their journey toward a brighter future.
In 2014, Troy and Mark embarked on a life-changing journey when they decided to foster and eventually adopt two children. As they settled into their new family dynamic, they quickly realized the profound impact of their love and support on their children's lives. It was during their daughter's first birthday party that they had an epiphany. Wanting to share the joy of the occasion with other foster children, they extended invitations to them, creating a sense of community and belonging.
As the festivities unfolded, Troy and Mark distributed gift bags to each child. However, the joyous atmosphere was disrupted when one child tearfully confessed that they had never received a gift before. Struck by this revelation, Troy and Mark were determined to do more to make a difference in the lives of foster children, especially during the upcoming Christmas season.
With hearts full of compassion and a desire to spread holiday cheer, Troy and Mark embarked on a mission to make Christmas special for foster kids in their community. With limited resources but boundless determination, they pooled together what they had and wrapped gifts for the children in their foster home. Year after year, their efforts expanded, fueled by the generosity of donors and the support of countless volunteers who became their devoted "elves."
In 2023, tragedy struck unexpectedly when Troy passed away, leaving a void in the hearts of all who knew him. Yet, his legacy of kindness and compassion lived on as Mark resolved to carry forward their mission in Troy's memory. Despite the loss, the spirit of giving endured, and in 2024, Kruse Cares was established, honoring the memory of Santa Troy Kruse and ensuring that his legacy of love and generosity would continue to brighten the lives of foster children for years to come.
