Kids Above Everything (KAE) is a community-rooted nonprofit grounded in lived experience, cultural connection, and an unwavering commitment to youth. We serve young people ages 10–26 through mentorship, media arts, mental health and wellness, and workforce development. Our programs are inclusive and open to all youth, but we hold a focused commitment to uplifting boys and young men of color, who often face the greatest barriers and the fewest resources.
At KAE, we don’t just check boxes. We show up where systems fall short, providing safe spaces, trusted relationships, and real opportunities for healing, growth, and leadership. A core pillar of KAE’s work is Big H.O.M.I.E.S. (Helping Our Men Inspire Each Other’s Success), a culturally responsive mentorship program supporting young men of color through leadership development, emotional regulation, academic persistence, and life skills. Across all programming, KAE integrates social-emotional learning, trauma-informed mental health practices, and media arts education to support youth confidence, purpose, and agency.
Whether it's a healing circle, a media project, a paid internship, or a life-changing trip, your support fuels the work that’s keeping kids connected, seen, and inspired. This is how we break cycles and build futures for all youth with a focus on those who need it most.Your support doesn’t just fund a program. It fuels second chances, breakthrough moments, and the kind of relationships that change the trajectory of a life. Because when we say "Kids Above Everything," we mean it. And we mean all kids, with an intentional focus on the ones who’ve been counted out too many times.
