K9 Kate's purpose is to improve relationships between dogs and their humans, regardless of socio-economic status. The high cost of private dog training often prohibits some owners from accessing good effective trainers. K9 Kate offers training scholarships for a limited number of clients per year specifically for challenging behaviors as well as offer discounted group classes in local neighborhood areas. The primary purpose of this training is to solve challenging behaviors in order to keep all dogs in their current homes and help to alleviate the homeless dog population.,

We believe that every dog is capable of learning good behavior when their human handler/owner is equipped with the knowledge of positive-based dog training. Our mission is to promote good canine citizenship in our neighborhoods and reduce the number of surrendered pets based on behavior challenges by providing dog training information to anyone who desires to learn, regardless of ability to pay.
