JUST Living Recovery needs operational funds to continue to provide an affordable & safe recovery space welcoming to ALL especially the LGBTQIA+ & BIPOC communities.

We envision this as a productive and sustainable community to allow those in recovery to live free from the ravages of addiction.

JUST Living
JUST a place to be or become the real you,
for those who have never known themselves
JUST a place to live
free from terrors of addiction,
for those who have nightmares about relapse
JUST an idea of community,
for those who've never had one
A JUST Living Indeed

-- Kit, resident

To create clean & sober residential opportunities for recovery and healing, especially supporting the LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities.

JUST Living Recovery is a resident-run intentional recovery community. It has created a culture of empowerment, where residents engage in governance and leadership, in a home-like safe, supportive and healthy environment. Our community facilitates active recovery and community engagement. We are actively working towards racial equity and supporting LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC folx in recovery. We hope to cultivate each resident's sense of belonging & honor the responsibility for themselves and their community.

We believe people heal in a community.

Background Statement

JUST Living Recovery was organized in 2018 with a mission to create clean & sober residential opportunities for those recovering and healing, from drug and alcohol addiction. JUST Living Recovery is committed to providing transitional sober housing that is affordable, safe, and supportive. Residents are encouraged to work on a recovery plan to fulfill the goal of creating a sustainable model to help them move forward with their lives.

We purchased our home in Lakewood, CO from The Family Tree on January 13, 2020. During the pandemic, we moved to single-room occupancies to protect our residents. This model supports our diverse population while providing private space to foster personal development.

Our building is 90 years old and was previously vacant, the house has required many upgrades to provide a higher quality of life for our residents. These repairs have included:

-Electrical updates

-Enhanced WIFI access

-Room conversion to increase single room capacity

-Work-from-home spaces

-Workout room

-A welcoming Community Room

Your donation will help us to complete our next projects:

-Renovate the 15 single-occupancy bedrooms and the -Dining room.

-Replacing the fence in the backyard

-Removing the giant tree that fell last year
