Mission

The Isabella Bird PTCO is a 501(c)3 nonprofit which supports the mission of Isabella Bird Community School by prioritizing engagement, collaboration, service and fundraising. We facilitate strong relationships between families and with the broader school community to support a school where everyone thrives.

Engagement – Be intentional and inclusive, engaging all families through effective communication and soliciting meaningful input on PTCO priorities. Host events and offer opportunities to build community, have fun, connect socially and promote school spirit.

Collaboration - Work alongside school administration, teachers, and other staff to support their work and to support students in all facets of their learning.

Service – Dedicate time and resources to support the school community through volunteering, fundraising, service projects, and expanded learning opportunities for students, staff, and families.

Fundraising – Raise the necessary funds to invest in priorities which promote a healthy, supportive, and robust learning environment for students and staff, and make improvements to programming, resources and our physical space.

Background Statement

Isabella Bird Community School's mission is to provide an educational experience that is equitable, intellectually stimulating, and inspires curiosity to ensure our students will be academically prepared, socially and environmentally responsible, culturally responsive, and personally fulfilled life-long learners. In order to achieve this mission, we must have a clear school culture plan. As such, our plan focuses on the following:
